CLASSES & EVENTS
Mindfulness/Insight Meditation with Buddhist Monk Chipamong Chowdhury
January 19th, 2017 | 6-8PM
In this workshop, Bhuddhist monk Bhante Chipamong will offer a mindfulness/insight-awareness practice and emotional intelligence, dharma reflections on various aspects on humanistic spirituality and relational meditation, followed by a blessing ceremony with Sanskrit/Pali chanting.
Mindfulness/insight meditation is the transcultural meditation practiced by global spiritualists, yoga communities and health practitioners. Insight/meditation offers the participants to relate more positively to stress, crisis moments and to develop emotional intimacy, inner peace, social love, and compassionate action, and we are thrilled to bring the practice and Bhante's teachings to Found Herbal.
Originally from Chittagong Hill Tracts (Bangladesh), Chipamong Chowdhury (Marma bhante) is a contemplative teacher, storyteller, writer and researcher of Buddhist spiritualties. As a Theravada Buddhist monk, he was studied and trained in traditional Buddhist monastic education and meditation in Burma and Sri Lanka. Defined himself as a digital/global citizenship, he travels extensively in Asia, North America, and Europe teaching on Buddhist humanities, relational mindfulness, active love and compassion, and social meditation.
